ABC Online: Offer to halt overseas logging protests

Environment groups have offered to suspend their campaigns in Japan for one month while Tasmania’s forest peace talks continue.

They say they will do so on the condition that logging stops in the 572,000 hectares of native forests in contention under the federal-state agreement.
